COURSES/PROGRAMS OFFERED:

The college offers more than 80 programs with degrees in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degree programs, and certificate programs provided by the Continuing Education program. It also offers distance education classes using the online Learning management system called Canvas from Instructure which allows students to gain credits toward degrees at their own convenience.

Admission to Union County College is open to all high school graduates, those holding high school equivalency certificates, or those persons eighteen years of age or older. Assumption College for Sisters prides itself on remaining the embodiment of the heritage received from Blessed Pauline von Mallinckrodt, foundress of the Sisters of Christian Charity. ADMISSIONS:

Admission to SCCC is open to high school graduates, those holding a GED certificate, and other persons 18 years of age or older. All applications are welcome, and completed applications are reviewed for admission to the College on an ongoing basis. Whether you wish to take a single course or enroll in full-time study, all new students must submit an application.

FINANCIAL AID:

At Sussex County Community College, they recognize that many students require financial assistance to meet the costs of higher education. The College expects that their students and/or their parents will contribute to the extent of their fiscal abilities; however, when the cost of education is not feasible, the College’s financial aid programs are here to help and they encourage their students to apply for financial assistance.

ADMISSIONS:

If you are 16 years you can take college courses now. Meet with your high school Guidance Counselor or a WCCC advisor to choose the courses that would work best for your schedule and interests. Ask your Guidance Counselor to send an official high school transcript to the WCCC Office of Student Services.

FINANCIAL AID:

WCCC participates in federal and state financial aid programs that help remove the economic barriers that may prevent a student from attending college. There are three basic types of financial assistance: Grants (including scholarships) – funds that do not have to be repaid, Loans – funds that have to be repaid with interest, Work-study – employment on campus to earn money to help pay for educational expenses
