Arkansas State University-Beebe is a regional state university that is an operationally separate, two-year institution of the Arkansas State University System. PROFILE:

The institution was tasked with obtaining a separate budget appropriation, gaining accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and hiring a Chancellor. ADMISSIONS:

Any applicant who has no previous college enrollment and who is a high school graduate or GED recipient may be admitted as a first-time entering student. An official transcript showing all high school work completed and the date of graduation must be submitted.

FINANCIAL AID:

Students should apply for all aid types every year around February 15 to ensure they will not miss any deadlines for federal aid or College of the Ouachitas scholarships. Actual deadlines fall between March 1 and July 1, but applications should be mailed by March 1 for priority consideration for all programs. Student Aid Reports will be sent to the applicant by the Federal Processor four to five weeks after the student submits the FAFSA. Applicants should review these forms very carefully! The Student Financial Aid/Scholarship Office will send the applicant notification if additional documents are needed

The MSCC Main Campus is located at 2000 West Broadway in West Memphis, and it includes a 64,000-square-foot (5,900 m2) building named the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Academic Excellence, built in 2004 at a cost of 12 million dollars. The center includes the library, multimedia rooms, office space and food service areas. MSCC admits students without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or veteran status. Special admissions requirements apply for concurrently-enrolled high school students who have completed the eighth grade and for international students. SAU Tech’s Enrollment Office is responsible for student testing, admission to the college, academic advising, registration, and providing personal counseling services. This department also provides new student orientation activities for incoming freshmen and conducts the freshmen seminar classes.

FINANCIAL AID:

Students applying for financial aid may contact Glenda Allen at (870) 946-3506 ext. 1607 (DeWitt). Provisional students are not eligible for financial aid. When a Provisional Student has completed a total of 12 credit hours or wishes to enroll in courses which will cause him/her to exceed 12 credit hours, he/she is no longer eligible to enroll in a provisional status. Prior to enrolling in courses which exceed the 12-hour limit, the student must complete all of the General Admission Requirements and be admitted to the College. After being admitted to the College, these students will be assigned an academic advisor and may continue to take courses without pursuing an award.
